| While
on Gozo, there are many places on the island that must be visited.
There
are the spectacular Sannat or Ta'Cenc Cliffs ( left ), the beautiful fishing village
at Xlendi Bay with it's 17th century guard tower, the salt-pans at Marsalforn,
Qbajjar and Xwejni. For those who wish to relax on the beach, there are
the golden sands at Ramla l-Hamra (below left) and traditional lace can be found
in the local markets. No trip to Gozo, Malta would be complete with seeing
the stunning Azure Window ( below right). This natural opening, straight and perpendicular,
is cut into the rock with an equally straight and huge horizontal roof. The Blue
Window, as it's also known, draws tourists and locals alike to sketch and photograph
this wonder of the Maltese islands.
